Experience:

With over 20 years of experience working in a computer support environment, Ara Mesdjian provides solutions to DoIT’s customers. Ara graduated from UW-Madison with a degree in Computer Science and History. His areas of expertise include supporting WiscCal and WiscMail. He helped develop a web application allowing the user delegated administration of their WiscCal domain. In 2008, he received recognition for his work with his Showcase 2008 presentation: Maximizing the Value of WiscCal.  

Ara's interest in computers started from an early age.  Outside work, he enjoys playing soccer and basketball with his two sons.

An instructional design tip:
Allow trainees the freedom to experiment but stay within the guidelines of the training curriculum.

A tip for learning new software:
Use the tutorials provided by the vendor to learn simple actions.
